Al Bayda Governorate

The Emergency Response Project Improves Daif Allah''''''''''''''''s Life

Imagine living every day in a constant struggle for survival. Daif Allah, who lives in a small village in Radman district of Al Bayda governorate, says: "I feared for the health of my children." Daif Allah, the head of a simple family, lives a difficult life due to the lack of basic services. The uncovered well in front of his house poses a constant threat to his health and the health of his family, which includes his wife, four daughters, and two sons. Every drop of water they consume carries the risk of contracting diseases, especially since the area suffers from the spread of infectious diseases such as cholera.

When one of his sons contracted cholera, Daif Allah felt desperate. It seemed as if the whole world was conspiring against him. How could a simple man protect his family from such disasters? But hope was not lost.

Thanks to the emergency response project funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund, the lives of Daif Allah and his family began to change. Daif Allah and his family were educated about the importance of hygiene and health, and they were provided with the knowledge and tools necessary to improve their living conditions. The well was covered, clean water was provided, and hygiene kits containing everything they needed to maintain personal hygiene were distributed.

After the intervention, Daif Allah began to notice a significant improvement in his family's health. Diseases no longer plagued his children, and they began to enjoy a healthier and happier life. The house became a safe haven for them, and the children began to play freely in the yard.

Daif Allah said, "I was afraid for the health of my children, but thanks to this project and the intervention of the Naher Association in our village, I felt relieved. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this project."

Daif Allah's story is a common one in the villages of the Yemeni countryside. The improvement in sanitation services after providing services to Daif Allah's village is proof that cooperation and hard work can achieve positive results. By providing sustainable solutions to health problems, we at the National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (Naher), with our partners, seek to continue providing such services to villages and hard-to-reach areas.
