Project Goals
To improve the targeted communities’ health by providing clean and safe drinking water in health facilities; to improve water, sanitation and hygiene by implementing and rehabilitating various water projects; and to raise awareness among beneficiaries about water use, prevention again water-borne diseases, and health in general, thereby reducing the number of fatalities by ensuring adequate access to health, water, sanitation and hygiene to the most vulnerable groups.
Project Activities
1. Implementation of the Al Oraij water project that includes the following
• Supply and installation of integrated solar pump unit.
• Rehabilitation of the pumping room.
• Rehabilitation of 200 m3 reinforced concrete tank.
• Implementation of pumping and liquifying network with an approximate length of 15,000 meters.
• Training a community committee to manage, operate and maintain the project.
2. Implementation of the Alkhalq water project that includes the following
• Supply and installation of integrated solar pump unit.
• Rehabilitation of the pumping room.
• Construction of a 200 m3 reinforced concrete tank.
• The implementation of a pumping and liquifying network with an approximate length of 10,000 meters.
• Training a community committee to manage, operate and maintain the project.
3. Implementation of Alqahm water project in the city of Al-Talh that includes the following
• Supply and installation of integrated solar pump unit.
• Rehabilitation of 75 m3 reinforced concrete tank.
• Rehabilitation of the pumping room.
• Construction of a 100 m3 reinforced concrete tower.
• The implementation of a pumping and liquifying network with an approximate length of 20,000 meters.
• Training a community committee to manage, operate and maintain the project.
4. Implementation of the second phase of the water project in Thu Hunaish in Sahar District that includes the following activities
• Construction of an additional reinforced concrete tank of 50 cubic meters.
• Creating new extensions for the network with a length of 8200 meters.
• Training a community committee for project management and maintenance.
