The National Foundition for Development and Humanitarian Response (#NAHR) strongly condemns the recent Israeli airstrikes that targeted Sana'a International Airport, power stations, and seaports in Hodeidah Governorate.
These actions, which constitute a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and endanger the lives of civilians, are deeply concerning.
Sana'a Airport is more than just a transportation hub; it is a lifeline for millions of Yemenis. In addition to being an entry point for humanitarian aid that sustains 18 million people, it is the only hope for many patients who need medical treatment abroad. Targeting this airport is tantamount to closing the door of hope in the face of millions of civilians.
These airstrikes have caused severe damage to vital civilian infrastructure, including power stations and seaports. This has resulted in power outages for millions of homes and hospitals, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in a country already suffering from a severe shortage of resources.
We urge the international community and influential countries to intervene urgently to stop these attacks, protect civilians, and safeguard civilian infrastructure. There must be full respect for international humanitarian law, and those responsible for these crimes must be held fully accountable.
At the National Organization for Development and Humanitarian Response (#NAHR), we reaffirm the need to protect innocent civilians and provide them with a safe environment to live with dignity.
